A setter proceeds to mount the center stone and set any necessary side-stones. (Pave-set side-stones require the most time to set and may take another day or two to complete).
 

 
Once the diamonds have been secured in the setting, the entire ring is re-sent to the polisher. Depending on your chosen metal and finish, the polisher will give the ring a final protective coating of rhodium and polishing.
